Privacy Policy
Last updated 18 September 2026.
Chain Curtain Company (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, "we", "us" or "our") is committed to protecting your personal data, and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your personal data when you visit chaincurtain.asia or buy from us.
We manage personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the "PDPA"). The PDPA governs the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your personal data. More information about the PDPA is available from the Personal Data Protection Commission at pdpc.gov.sg.
If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us any time at theteam@chaincurtain.asia.
What is personal data and why do we collect it?
Personal data is data about an individual who can be identified from that data. Examples of the personal data we collect include your name, delivery and billing address, email address and phone number, collected when you place an order or contact support. Payment information is handled securely by our payment processors, Stripe and PayPal; we do not store your full card details on our servers.
We collect your personal data for the primary purpose of providing our products and services to you, and to conduct the general operation of our business: to service you as a customer, and to maintain the bookkeeping and accounting records required for tax purposes. We may also use your personal data for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances and, where the PDPA requires it, with your consent. You may unsubscribe from our mailing or marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing, and we honour the Do Not Call provisions of the PDPA for marketing messages.
When we collect personal data we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting it and how we plan to use it.
Information collected automatically, cookies and analytics
When you use the site we may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring site, through cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies keep the site working, including your basket. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand how the site is used, and advertising cookies (Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising) measure whether our advertising works. Non-essential cookies are only set if you accept them through our cookie banner. See our cookie policy.
Third parties
Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your personal data only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties, in which case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party. Links taking you away from this website are not subject to our practices or policies, and we do not guarantee the website links or policies of authorised third parties.
Disclosure of personal data
We do not sell, trade or rent your details to others. We share data only as needed to operate the store: with our payment processors, delivery couriers, and the analytics and advertising providers named above, who are required to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to us. Your personal data may otherwise be disclosed where we are required or authorised by law to do so.
Security of personal data
All confidential information received for the purpose of processing an order is electronically stored on a secure, password-protected system. All information received on this website is SSL secured and encrypted. Your personal data is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
When your personal data is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify it. However, most order records are kept by us for a minimum of 5 years to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Access to your personal data
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to update or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your personal data, please contact us in writing at theteam@chaincurtain.asia. We will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a hard copy. In order to protect your personal data we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.
Maintaining the quality of your personal data
It is important to us that your personal data is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure it is accurate, complete and up to date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records.
Complaints
If you believe we have handled your personal data in a way that breaches the PDPA, contact us first at theteam@chaincurtain.asia and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission at pdpc.gov.sg.
Children's privacy
Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Microsoft Clarity analytics
Microsoft Clarity stays off until you choose to enable it here. With your permission, Clarity helps us understand public page use through analytics, heatmaps and session recordings. Microsoft receives usage data as an independent data controller and handles it under its Privacy Statement, including its described service-improvement and advertising-related uses. Text and sensitive fields are masked; checkout, account and other sensitive routes are excluded.
Advertising storage is denied and Clarity's advertising integrations are disconnected. Your choice is remembered in this browser for up to 180 days. Older Google-only choices do not enable Clarity. You can turn Clarity off here at any time; withdrawal stops future recording after a page reload and clears its first-party cookies. It does not delete data already received. Contact us using the contact details on this website about privacy or data requests.
Optional Clarity analytics is off.
Google measurement choices
This website's Google measurement follows its existing regional consent defaults. These choices are separate from Microsoft Clarity. You can decline Google measurement, allow Google Analytics alone, or allow analytics and advertising measurement when configured. Google receives usage data under the Google Privacy Policy. Declining updates Google's consent signals. Where an existing Google tag is already active, denied-mode requests can continue without optional storage; changing this choice does not delete data already received.
